Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Innovationera Pty Ltd (Australia), which operates Konfidence. Using it means accepting them.
What this is
Konfidence gives you a question you have not seen, listens to your answer, tells you one thing to change, and lets you answer again so you can see what changed.
It is practice. It is not coaching by a person, and it is not a qualification, an assessment or a test.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over, and able to enter a contract where you live.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Sign-in is handled by Google, Microsoft, Apple or an email link, so keep that account secure.
What it costs
Nothing. There is no subscription, no card, and nothing to cancel.
How much you get depends on how you arrived: one practice without an account, five a month with one, and thirty a month if your Toastmasters club has vouched for you. These numbers may change while the product is being tested.
If charging is ever introduced, it will be announced in advance, and nothing you already have will be taken away without notice.
Fair use
Practise as much as your allowance allows. Do not automate it, resell it, attempt to bypass the limits, or use it to generate content for somebody else's product.
Do not use it to harass anybody, to break the law, or to attack the service.
Accounts doing any of the above can be limited or closed.
What you say stays yours
You keep the rights to everything you say. You give us permission to process it for the narrow purpose of running the product: transcribing it, measuring it, generating your instruction, and comparing your second attempt with your first.
Your practice is not used to train models, ours or anybody else's. Aggregate, non-identifying counts may be used to understand whether the product works.
What the coaching is worth
The instruction you are given is produced by software, including a language model. It can be wrong.
- It is for practice, and it is not professional advice of any kind.
- No outcome is promised — not an interview, a job, a grade, a competition, or anybody's good opinion.
- It is not a substitute for a coach, a teacher, a doctor or a lawyer.
- How you use it is your decision and your responsibility.
If you are struggling
Speaking practice can touch on difficult subjects. This product is not equipped to help with distress and will not pretend to be.
If something you say suggests you may be at risk, you will be shown where to get real help instead of coaching. Those resources are always available at /support/help.
Availability
This is an early product run by one person. It may be unavailable, it may change, and features may be removed. No uptime is promised.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from your account page, which removes your practice history.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless the law prevents it.
Liability
The service is provided as it is, without warranties, to the extent the law allows.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is currently nothing.
Nothing here limits rights that cannot be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove protections you have at home.
Changes
These terms will change as the product does. A material change is notified at your next sign-in and asks you to accept again, rather than taking silence as agreement.
